Job summary

Piedmont Community College (NC) is seeking a part-time Campus Safety Officer to patrol the campus, protect facilities, and respond to calls for service.

You will report hazards, investigate incidents, coordinate with emergency personnel, and assist with campus events such as graduations.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and preferred CPR/First Aid training; BLET/NCDPS training preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Valid operator's license required to operate college vehicles.
• CPR/First Aid training preferred.
• BLET/NCDPS training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the campus during assigned shift to ensure buildings, doors, and facilities are secure.
• Report and address hazardous conditions and incidents.
• Investigate incidents where college policies may have been violated.
• Serve as observer and information conduit; report facts.
• Patrol parking areas and enforce campus parking regulations.
• Respond to emergencies or alarms and coordinate response with personnel.
• Take incident reports from students, staff, faculty or visitors on campus property.
• Liaise with emergency personnel during incidents on campus.
• Ensure campus closes with secure buildings and locked gates.
• Monitor smoking policy adherence and designated areas.
