Job summary

Ranken Technical College in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Public Safety Leader to safeguard the campus community and assets. The role directs a security team, ensures continuous monitoring of alarms and surveillance, and develops safety protocols for multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in law enforcement or campus security, with supervisory experience and a track record of enforcing policies under crisis conditions. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or equivalent experience in law enforcement or security.
• Experience supervising six to ten security officers.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to enforce campus safety policies and make sound decisions in crises.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security and safety of all Ranken locations.
• Manage and schedule shift supervisors and contract officers.
• Monitor surveillance, alarms, and emergency communications.
• Develop and implement campus safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee training of faculty, staff, and students on emergency procedures.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
