Job summary

Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead Security Officers, participate in daily campus security operations, and ensure continuous coverage. The role requires supervising shifts, reviewing incident reports, and coordinating with leadership to address staffing needs.

Key duties include coaching officers, facilitating training, and maintaining adherence to college policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective communication, leadership, organizational, and report-writing skills.
• Must demonstrate sound judgment, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently during emergencies, staffing shortages, and other stressful situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first-line supervisor for Security Officers and provides routine direction, guidance, and support.
• Regularly works scheduled Security Officer patrol shifts as part of the department’s normal staffing and coverage plan.
• Monitors staffing schedules, leave, and anticipated vacancies and works with Security Department leadership to address coverage needs.
• Reviews incident reports, daily activity logs, call logs, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Provides routine coaching, training, and on-the-job guidance to Security Officers and assists with training new officers.
