Job summary

University Housing at the University of Oregon seeks a Campus Security Authority to ensure safety in residence halls and support student well-being. The role includes ambulatory rounds, crisis response, and policy enforcement in collaboration with Residence Life and campus partners.

The position is renewable and operates year-round as a 1.0 FTE, with on-call requirements and essential personnel status. An on-campus commitment is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + 1 year professional experience in security, crisis response, or human services.
• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Psychology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as Campus Security Authority to safeguard residence halls and students.
• Provide direct student support for mental and physical well-being concerns; mediate conflicts and de-escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with Residence Life and campus partners to enforce policies and procedures.
