The role provides monitoring to protect academy buildings and ensure student, faculty, staff and visitor safety across gymnasiums, administrative buildings and parking areas during open hours and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 60 days of employment.
• Campus Safety Training from Training Academy completed annually.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience in an institutional or campus setting preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a pleasant demeanor while patrolling main hub areas, entrances and parking areas.
• Assists visitors with directions and access to assigned areas.
• Monitors and circulates to ensure visitors, students and staff are in their designated areas.
• Prohibits unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Responds to safety incidents and coordinates with campus safety and police when necessary.
• Assists with fire watch, parking and crowd control at Academy events.
• Prepares written reports and detailed daily logs of activities.
• Wears uniform and uses radios, keys and safety equipment.
