Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to provide exceptional customer service and assist store leaders in daily retail operations. You will help process transactions, greet customers, and contribute to a welcoming store environment.

This role offers flexible scheduling, sick time accrual, and a 401(k) eligibility window, with opportunities for development through the Management Development Program.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid.
• Greet customers and focus on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register.
• Keep the store clean and organized by shelving and tidying products.
• Temporary positions require availability to work weekly for up to 90 days with occasional weekends and varied shifts.
• Routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
