Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and support store operations in a busy campus setting.

You will process sales, greet customers, and maintain a clean, organized space while handling cash and transactions accurately. The role may involve food/beverage service, display setup, and seasonal scheduling to align with campus cycles.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and maintain a friendly atmosphere throughout their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store organized by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold foods and drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques.
• Set up or restock displays, wrap, label, date, and rotate food items for sale.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following cleaning and sanitation standards.
