Job summary

FVCC in Kalispell, Montana is seeking a Coordinator to develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive campus recreation and wellness program that promotes student engagement, belonging, and well-being through sports, casual drop-in activities, outdoor recreation, social events, and wellness education.

The role collaborates with the Student Engagement Office to support campus-wide programs, provides operational oversight of the Fitness Center, and schedules evenings and weekends to match

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field and one year of experience in recreation and wellness programs; OR
• Associate’s degree in closely related field and three years of experience in recreation and wellness programs; OR
• An equitable combination of higher education and experience in recreation and wellness programs;
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications, OR ability to obtain within three months of hire;
• Valid Montana driver’s license with insurable driving record, OR ability to obtain license by start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement a comprehensive recreation and wellness program.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate campus recreation and wellness programs.
• Provide operational oversight of the Fitness Center and supervise student staff.
• Recruit, train, and supervise Student Wellness Peer Educators and Recreation Assistants.
• Schedule facilities and manage bookings using venue management software.
• Collaborate with campus partners to promote programs and activities.
