Job summary

Randolph College seeks a Coordinator of Campus Recreation to develop, implement, and assess a comprehensive campus recreation program that supports student engagement, wellness, belonging, and community.

This position provides primary oversight of the esports arena, supports the management of the student center and attached fitness facility, and develops recreational, wellness, and outdoor excursion opportunities that enhance campus life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of experience in campus recreation, fitness, esports, outdoor programs, or student engagement.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive campus recreation program including intramurals, informal recreation, fitness initiatives, esports, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
• Conduct student needs assessments and analyze participation trends to inform program development and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily operations of the esports arena, including scheduling, equipment management, and student staffing.
• Coordinate esports leagues, tournaments, special events, and open recreation opportunities.
• Support day-to-day operations of the student center and attached fitness facility.
• Serve as manager-on-duty for recreation and student center spaces as assigned.
• Monitor facility usage, cleanliness, safety, and customer service standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student employees across recreation, esports, fitness, and student center operations.
