JOB SUMMARY:

This position is for a temporary assistant position in Campus Recreation. The employee will work in an on-campus recreational facility in one of the functional areas, including fitness, wellness, maintenance, operations and welcome center, outdoor recreation, sports programs, and aquatics. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

80% - Essential - Ensure the proper daily operations of activities within Fike Recreation Center (and other on-campus facilities). Provide excellent customer service and ensure safety and cleanliness of recreation activity areas. Enforce departmental policies. Complete all shift tasks and checklists.

15% - Essential - Attend all staff trainings, meetings and in-services.

5% - Essential - Other duties as assigned

Education - None

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - High School or Equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Walk or move about
Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder)
Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself
Recognize or inspect visually

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 28

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Salary Range ($ 9.00 per hour - $ 10.50 per hour)




Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
