Commitment: 12 months, approximately 7–10 hours per week

Reports To: President, Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow

About Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow

Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow (EOT) is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering at-promise Black, Brown, and immigrant youth to solve problems through entrepreneurship and innovation. Through experiential programs, mentorship, funding, and digital tools, we help young changemakers build real businesses and generational impact—while working to close the racial wealth gap.

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and passionate Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our fundraising and sponsorship growth efforts. This leadership role will guide a team of Business Development Specialists and Ambassadors to drive revenue from corporate sponsors, individual donors, foundations, and community partners.

The BDM will serve as a key player in achieving our $300,000+ fundraising goal, working cross-functionally with EOT’s President, marketing, and program teams to develop outreach strategies, unlock partnerships, and power student innovation at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Design and lead EOT’s business development strategy across sponsorships, grants, and peer-to-peer campaigns
  • Develop and manage revenue pipelines and fundraising calendars
  • Supervise and mentor a team of volunteer Business Development Specialists and Fundraising Ambassadors
  • Set performance benchmarks and track progress toward quarterly revenue milestones
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward corporate sponsors, major donors, and brand collaborators
  • Draft, review, and deliver pitch materials, sponsorship decks, and proposals
  • Represent EOT in high-level meetings and presentations with funders and partners
  • Collaborate with the President and Fundraising Team to align messaging and materials

Grants & Revenue Reporting

  • Oversee the coordination of grant submissions with internal grant writers
  • Ensure tracking systems (e.g., Airtable, Google Sheets) are maintained accurately
  • Analyze fundraising performance and report key insights to leadership
  • Lead weekly business development check-ins and coaching sessions
  • Create toolkits, outreach templates, and campaign resources for team use
  • Coordinate with marketing, events, and program staff to align on fundraising campaigns

Qualifications

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Deeply committed to racial equity, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship
  • Experienced in fundraising, business development, or sales (2+ years preferred)
  • Skilled in people leadership and team management (volunteer or professional)
  • Excellent communicators, writers, and relationship-builders
  • Proficient in tools like Google Workspace, Airtable, and CRM platforms (or eager to learn)
  • Strategic thinkers who thrive in dynamic, startup-like environments
  • Comfortable representing EOT in front of partners, funders, and community leaders

All applicants must follow@eotomorrowon Instagram as part of the application process.

Exclusive Benefits for Selected Volunteers

  • Leadership Development: Lead a high-impact revenue team supporting national youth innovation
  • Mentorship: Collaborate with EOT’s President and leadership team on strategy and execution
  • Recognition: Top-performing volunteers featured in press, events, and social channels
  • Letters of Recommendation: Personalized endorsements for career and grad school advancement
  • Network Access: Join a powerful network of business leaders, funders, and changemakers

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 7–10 hours per week
  • Weekly Zoom check-ins and availability to support major campaigns

Application Process

Due to the competitive nature of this opportunity, only the top applicants will be selected. To apply, submit:

  • A short statement about why EOT’s mission resonates with you
  • A summary of your fundraising or business development experience
  • Your availability and intended commitment (12 months required)

Deadline: Rolling applications accepted
