Job summary

Augsburg University is seeking a part-time Community Service Officer (CSO) to support Public Safety on campus. CSOs provide non-enforcement safety support, welcome students and staff, and help maintain a safe, welcoming campus environment.

Responsibilities include building walk-throughs, opening/closing spaces on schedule, and offering safe walking escorts. Applicants must be enrolled students eligible for work-study and possess strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at Augsburg University and work-study eligible.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Able to work 12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conducting building walk-throughs to identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Unlocking and locking academic spaces on a set schedule or by request.
• Providing safe walking escorts to community members.
• Serving as approachable representatives of Public Safety on campus.
• Assisting with campus events when requested by university policy.
