Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 30 credit hours in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Police Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of security, military police or law enforcement experience, or completion of a pre-employment academy.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the options A/B/C.

Responsibilities

• Enforce campus safety and NYS laws as a Peace Officer.
• Patrol campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR as needed.
• Maintain and secure doors, windows and entrances.
• Prepare records and reports of incidents and investigations.
• Carry firearms as required by the position and law.
