Santa Fe College Police Department is seeking a Police Officer to join their team and serve the campus community. The officer acts as a sworn law enforcement official, enforcing college rules and applicable federal, state, and local laws while protecting personnel, students, property, equipment and facilities.

The role supports either operations or administration and requires cross-functional ability under the direction of the Chief of Police and campus leadership, including emergencies,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and eligibility for State Officer Certification within six months.
• Successful pass of background investigation, physical examination, drug testing, and polygraph.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and authorization to drive for the College.
• Maintain mobility, physical strength, and stamina to perform duties.

Responsabilités

• Enforces college rules and applicable laws courteously and ethically.
• Responds to calls for service and investigates incidents; prepares reports.
• Gathers, preserves, and processes evidence in accordance with procedures.
• Testifies in court as needed and supports prosecutions.
• Performs safety and security duties including patrols, access control, and emergency response.
• Maintains records, vehicles, uniforms, and equipment in operational readiness.
