Job summary

St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Public Safety Officer I to provide security services and emergency response for staff, faculty, students, and visitors. Duties include responding to unsafe situations, supporting safety programs, and acting as liaison between public safety and the college community.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR/First Aid/AED certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements security measures and patrols campus.
• Provides security to employees and students and handles parking/enforcement for events.
• Responds to emergencies and alarms; maintains reports and logs.
