Job summary

Swarthmore College is seeking a Community Resource Officer (Public Safety) to safeguard students, staff and visitors on the Swarthmore College campus. The role involves first-response duties, incident investigations, and coordinating communications across campus departments.

Shifts are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a six-month appointment and potential renewal dependent on budget and performance. The position requires a High School diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with related experience in security or public safety.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate motorized vehicles.
• Excellent oral and written communication to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus to deter safety hazards and assist community members.
• Respond to incidents and follow appropriate reporting procedures.
• Answer calls and manage communications for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
• Provide escorts and crowd control at events and support for emergency situations.
• Maintain and document incident reports with thorough details.
