Job summary

Swarthmore College seeks a Community Resource Officer for its Public Safety team. The officer will patrol campus, respond to incidents and alarms, conduct initial investigations, and provide information to the college community.

The role covers 7:00 am–7:00 pm on a limited-term basis with possible renewal. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and strong communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with experience in security or public safety.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate motorized vehicles.
• Excellent oral and written communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the campus on foot, by motor vehicle, or bicycle to deter crime and ensure safety.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for service; conduct interviews and document reports.
• Enforce campus traffic safety and provide escorts and crowd control at events.
• Disseminate information and assist faculty, staff, students, and visitors as needed.
