Job summary

The University of Missouri System's MU Counseling Center, part of the MU Student Health and Well-Being unit, seeks a doctoral-level psychologist to join a team serving MU students. This role emphasizes a generalist approach with opportunities to develop expertise in areas like autism/ADHD, anxiety, cultural trauma, eating disorders, substance use, and addictions within a college setting.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Psychology and licensure (or eligibility to be licensed) as a Psychologist within Missouri.
• Preferred: at least one year of clinical experience in a college counseling center.
• Desirable: experience with brief therapy models, crisis intervention, and supervising trainees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to determine treatment recommendations.
• Provide brief therapy and time-limited workshops for a broad range of concerns.
• Perform crisis and consultation services during business hours as part of a crisis team.
• Design and implement outreach and prevention programming for students and campus community.
• Supervise and train post-doctoral residents, doctoral interns, post-MA fellows, and graduate students.
• Contribute to goals, policies, and procedures for student psychological needs and campus well-being; participate in MU Counseling Center and University committees.
