Job summary

North Central College seeks an experienced Project Coordinator to support day-to-day campus operations and coordinate renovation and construction projects across campus for the Operations & Facilities department.

You will manage the full project lifecycle—from scoping and budgeting through design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout—ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with minimal disruption to campus life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Project experience in construction, renovation, or capital project delivery preferred.
• Higher education, institutional, or public-sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and success criteria for renovation and construction projects.
• Develop preliminary budgets, schedules, and delivery approaches.
• Lead or support RFP/RFQ and competitive bidding for design and construction services.
• Act as on-site representative during construction, coordinating activity and safety.
• Monitor schedule adherence, quality, and compliance with plans/specifications.
• Manage pay apps, invoices, and change orders; ensure contract compliance.
