Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking a Project Manager (Limited-Term) to oversee capital projects for campus buildings, laboratories, and facilities.

This exempt, full-time role manages programming through closeout, coordinates with designers and contractors, and ensures timely delivery within budget. The position is a two-year term with possible extension based on workload and project volume. Normal hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, with occasional overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience in planning, design, construction and/or project management of renovation and construction projects in a college/university or similar setting.
• Project oversight from programming to closeout with coordination of design professionals and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from initial studies through programming, design, construction and closeout.
• Conduct on-site visits to meetings with Owner, Architect, and Contractor.
• Provide direction to design professionals and contractors and evaluate proposals.
• Negotiate services and costs and gather information for program, design and construction documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
