Sodexo is hiring a Cook for The College of New Jersey. You will prepare a variety of hot and cold items across all meals, following Sodexo culinary standards for quality and presentation while maintaining a clean workstation.

The role requires safe food handling, timely execution, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen. Flexible shifts and opportunities for growth are available in a supportive dining program.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation knowledge and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to read and follow written recipes and directions.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to current standards, recipes, and guidelines.
• Follow recipes for soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts for various service periods.
• Estimate production needs and requisition supplies/equipment as required.
• Stand/walk for extended periods and move items as needed.
• Attend shifts on time and perform additional duties as required.
