The University of New Mexico Police Department is seeking a regular full-time staff member to support campus security operations in Albuquerque, NM. The role includes patrolling, property and personnel protection, and assisting in crime investigations and evidence handling.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, no prior experience required, and must graduate from an accredited academy with NM certification within 12 months. Eligible for comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; no previous experience required.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides security for personnel, real property, and equipment.
• Assists in the investigation and documentation of crimes/incidents and preservation of evidence, and receives training in the preparation and provision of legal testimony.
