Job summary

The University of New Mexico is hiring a Parking Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations across its campuses. This position requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service while working outdoors in a physically active role.

We are looking for a reliable candidate capable of effectively communicating parking rules to a diverse range of individuals, as well as monitoring and managing safety concerns within parking facilities. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with no previous experience necessary.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Capable of reading and applying policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report safety concerns in campus parking.
• Communicate parking rules and assist with traffic control.
• Patrol parking lots to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Issue citations and manage towing services.
