Job summary

UNC Police Department is seeking two UNC Police Officer positions to safeguard students, faculty, staff, and visitors on the UNC Chapel Hill campus.

Officers will patrol and investigate incidents, applying Community Oriented Policing to deter crime and enhance safety. Candidates must meet EMS, training, and certification requirements while upholding professional integrity and service to the university community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old at appointment.
• Must complete NC CJETSC certification process or be eligible.
• Must pass background, drug screening, polygraph, and fitness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus; investigate complaints and enforce laws.
• Develop and implement preventative patrol techniques.
• Perform specialized duties to deter crime and ensure safety.
