Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design is seeking a Plumbing/Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain plumbing systems across campus buildings. The role includes reading blueprints, servicing water and waste systems, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.

The technician will also support maintenance tasks in painting, carpentry, electrical and HVAC as needed and may require on-call work during weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Two years of verifiable plumbing maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Valid Florida driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Flexibility for on-call hours and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing systems and fixtures in campus buildings.
• Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Plans, installs and services plumbing systems, fixtures and controls and related piping.
• Ensures compliance with building codes and safety standards; maintains records.
• Performs scheduled maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures; assists with other maintenance tasks such as painting or electrical work.
• May require on-call work include weekends or holidays.
