Job summary

St. Patrick's Manor and Carmel Terrace in Framingham, MA seek a Campus Plant Operations Director to lead maintenance for both the skilled nursing facility and assisted living campus.

You will plan, organize, and direct maintenance programs to ensure resident comfort and safety, manage staff, and implement preventive maintenance procedures. Required are an engineering associate degree and 3 years of supervisory maintenance experience; healthcare knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering and a minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance related position.
• Health care experience preferred.
• Experience and knowledge in low-pressure steam boilers, compressors, generators, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the maintenance department, including policies and job descriptions.
• Ensure plant and equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Manage staffing, training, evaluation and work of department personnel.
• Review policies, procedures, manuals and job descriptions annually and recommend changes.
• Inspect the facility regularly to ensure grounds, facility and equipment are maintained.
• Establish preventive maintenance program for cleaning, painting and maintaining facility equipment.
• Establish a priority system for unscheduled maintenance.
• Maintain heating and cooling units/systems as specified.
