Job summary

American University in Washington, DC is seeking PASS Tutors to provide one-on-one tutoring for AU students through the PASS Program. Tutors are AU students who are paid on an hourly basis and participate in ongoing trainings and peer observations.

Responsibilities include tutoring, session preparation, completing post-session surveys and reports, and scheduling with tutoring staff. This is a part-time, on-campus role requiring 2–6 hours weekly average and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in courses.
• Adequately prepare for tutoring sessions by reviewing WCOnline appointment forms.
• Use empty sessions to complete other role-related tasks.
• Distribute Post-Tutoring Survey to attendees.
• Complete Post-Appointment Client Report Forms after tutoring sessions.
• Attend semester trainings and participate in peer observations.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Tutoring staff at least twice per semester.
• Accurately complete time sheets and surveys.
• Conduct class visits to advertise the PASS Program on campus.
