Job summary

University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY seeks a Parking Services Attendant to be a welcoming, knowledgeable presence on campus, supporting safe, accessible, and orderly parking across UB campuses. The role primarily covers the UB South Campus with a mix of customer service, parking guidance, and enforcement.

Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Mon–Fri, with a rotating 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Parking Booth shift. Driving duties use university vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak and understand English.
• Must possess a valid New York State driver license.
• Preferred: general technology skills (email, smartphone, Microsoft apps); strong interpersonal communication; cash transaction and closeout experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a front-line parking information ambassador, providing courteous, accurate and helpful customer service to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
• Provides directions, parking information and assistance to help customers navigate the campus parking.
• Issuing parking access passes and collecting fees when applicable.
• Enforces parking rules and regulations throughout the campuses by identifying violations and issuing parking citations.
• Patrols campus parking areas by vehicle and tracks space availability.
