Parking Enforcement Officer needed at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX. Patrol campus parking lots and garages by vehicle and on foot to enforce regulations 24/7, ensuring safe, accessible parking for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Position relies on LPR tech and professional interaction with the university community. Requires a high school diploma, U.S. citizenship, 21+ years old, Texas driver’s license, clean driving record, and successful completion of background checks,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21+ years old at time of employment; U.S. citizen; valid Texas Driver's License.
• Current and valid Class C Texas license with a good driving record.
• Not indicted for criminal offenses; never convicted of a Class C misdemeanor or family violence offense.
• Not prohibited from operating a motor vehicle; able to pass extensive background check, physical test and drug screening.
• Insurable by university carrier.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus parking lots and garage in vehicle and on foot.
• Utilize mobile License Plate Recognition to verify permits and compliance.
• Issue citations and/or warnings for violations.
• Tow or immobilize vehicles with unpaid fines or severe violations.
• Provide directions and parking guidance to community members and guests.
• Assist drivers with basic motorist support and explain permit options.
• Set up signage for events, cones, and barricades as needed.
• Maintain two-way radio communication with UPD.
• Report hazards, damaged signs, EV chargers/pay stations, and emergencies to UPD.
