Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks an Office Service Aide to support the NMHU Outdoors Recreation Center and Health and Wellness Space.

Under direct supervision, you will assist with equipment rentals, customer service, and event planning for Outdoor Recreation excursions and Health and Wellness activities. You will promote safe, inclusive, and engaging outdoor recreation opportunities for the NMHU community and assist with classes as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an NMHU Student.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification or willingness to become certified.
• Current Defensive Driving Certification or willingness to become certified.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Interest in outdoor recreation and wellness.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 60lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for an extended period of time.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors with varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with outdoor equipment rentals, check-outs, and returns.
• Assist with Health and Wellness Classes (Zumba, Yoga, ETC.).
• Ensuring all correct waivers have been completed and signed by patrons.
• Provide customer service and general information to students, faculty, and staff.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and inventory of recreation equipment.
• Support Outdoor Recreation programs, trips, and special events as assigned.
• Safety lift, move, transport, and set up recreation equipment as required.
• Follow all NMHU policies, safety procedures, and risk management protocols and other duties as assigned.
