Job summary

College of the Muscogee Nation offers Institutional Work Study (IWS) positions under the Director of Business Affairs. IWS provides assistance in Bookstore, Cafeteria, Student Housing, Offices, and Library, with a variety of duties from data entry to customer service.

Open to full-time CMN students who meet GPA and eligibility requirements, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Roles require professionalism, reliability, and the ability to follow directions across campus settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Good interpersonal skills; ability to read instructions and write small reports; must be a full-time student at CMN.
• Preferred: good computer skills in word-processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheets; strong oral communication and organizational skills.
• Special Considerations: Native American and Veteran Preference; related experience in college or similar organization; knowledge of Muscogee language preferable.

Responsibilities

• Bookstore: sales, stocking, cash register, janitorial.
• Cafeteria: sales, cash register, janitorial, kitchen assistance, food handling.
• Student housing: office support services, transportation, student resource, enforcing CMN policies, maintenance.
• Offices: office support services, backup support for reception desk.
• Library: office support services, check out literature/electronic equipment, maintenance, re-shelving books and supplies.
• Office support services includes: assist with the preparation of documents and filing.
• Enter data in data bank, sort documents, copy, and fax.
• Computer skills in word-processing and spreadsheets are very helpful.
• Able to take direction and carry out instructions.
• Must be able to interact with the public in a polite friendly manner.
