Job summary

American Preparatory Academy in Draper, UT seeks an Operations Specialist to support daily campus operations, maintain a safe and clean learning environment, and assist with events and maintenance.

You will direct traffic during drop-off, set up for events, perform basic repairs, manage supplies, and help with safety drills while remaining reliable and proactive.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work weekdays 7:30/8:00 to 4:00-4:30, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or operations preferred.
• Pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs; stand/walk most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic and pedestrians during student drop-off and pickup.
• Set up furniture and equipment for events and activities.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of buildings and equipment.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and safety drills.
• Maintain clean, organized facilities and stock restrooms/common areas.
• Receive and coordinate custodial supplies and chemicals.
• Perform minor repairs like replacing bulbs/filters.
• Accept deliveries and maintain workplace organization.
• Operate tools and equipment safely to perform duties.
• Support staff and address operational needs as they arise.
