Job summary

Michigan State University Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF) is seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support for Custodial Services. This role focuses on procurement, work order management, data maintenance, and cross‑functional coordination to sustain campus custodial operations.

The position requires 2+ years in an office setting, strong software skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; regular in-person work

Qualifications

• Two or more years working in an office setting with customer service/administrative duties.
• Expert knowledge of computer software applications and data management systems.
• Experience with Planon or an equivalent asset management software; experience with KFS or similar financial software.

Responsibilities

• Procure custodial supplies via Spartan Marketplace and manage related transactions.
• Administer and reconcile Planon/IWMS work orders across systems.
• Coordinate IWMS workbenches for carpet care, hard floor care and events.
• Support KPI tracking, audits, dashboards, and audit summaries for management.
• Handle correspondence, training, meetings, and scheduling.
