Job summary

Northeastern University is seeking an Associate Director - Operations to lead campus facilities and operations across one or more campuses. The role directs safety, events, vendor management, purchasing, visitor services, and technology infrastructure, while guiding space planning and budget initiatives to support staff, students, and faculty.

Responsibilities include supervising diverse staff, managing performance, developing plans, and maintaining adherence to university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Supervisory experience working with employees and teams.
• Experience with a complex, matrixed group of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of facilities operations management, project management, and business operations, including budget management and negotiations.
• Excellent teamwork, organizational, adaptability skills.
• Strong communication, conflict management, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including availability after hours and on weekends.
