Job summary

KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) is seeking a Director of School Operations to lead all non-instructional systems on a PreK–8 campus, partnering with the Regional Director to design and improve budgeting, facilities, HR/compliance, communications, and student systems.

The role drives operational health, attendance, enrollment, safety, vendor performance, and equity across two KNOS campuses, with a focus on protecting instructional time and delivering on-time, on-budget projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years in operations; 2+ years leading school/site ops.
• K-12 or youth nonprofit ops experience; budget and vendor oversight.
• Knowledge of FERPA, IDEA operational basics; safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead school operations across budgeting, facilities, transportation, food service, and HR/compliance.
• Set KPIs, SLAs, and accountability for all operations functions.
• Hire, onboard, and develop the school-based operations team.
• Protect instructional time and ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
