Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) seeks a Network Field Technician to deliver on-site technical support, troubleshoot campus networks, and administer enterprise applications across multiple locations. You will install and configure hardware, software, IPs, and network services while ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for faculty and staff.

The role requires strong problem solving, documentation, and teamwork with Help Desk and Network Administrators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support, network administration, or application troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and remote support platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site technical support across campus networks and devices.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, IPs, NAT, DHCP and DNS.
• Support AV systems and enterprise applications; document actions for knowledge base.
• Coordinate with Help Desk and Network Admins to resolve escalated issues.
• Maintain security and change-management practices and accurate network diagrams.
