The role involves collaborating with LTS staff to troubleshoot issues, manage access controls, wireless and wired networks, and firewall configurations, while administering core networking gear and telephony support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a computer-related field required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum four years of experience supporting networking and telecommunications.
• Four years experience with Unix/Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Four years administering network access control systems.
• Four years administering firewalls and VPNs.
• Two to four years experience with dedicated network devices.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address campus network problems with LTS staff.
• Provide support for the network access control system.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain wireless network.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain wired network.
• Assist in configuration and maintenance of campus firewall.
• Perform network equipment inventory and upgrades as directed.
• Maintain routing protocols on core switches and Internet routers.
• Perform basic system administration on network support servers.
• Handle moves/adds/changes to campus communications and telephony as directed.
