Job summary

Related Companies seeks a Network Engineer I to join the Hudson Yards Infrastructure & Operations team in New York. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain the campus-wide Cisco network enabling wired, wireless, and building systems across the environment.

Reporting to the Director of IT, you will collaborate with engineers, operations teams, and vendors to ensure reliable, secure connectivity and support future technology initiatives in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a Cisco environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of switching, routing, and wireless technologies (Cisco) including 9K, 7K, 5K fabrics.
• Knowledge of MPLS, VRF, VPC, etc.
• Knowledge of VoIP/QoS design and deployment.
• Layer 1 infrastructure (fiber, copper) knowledge.
• Layer 2/3 network infrastructure experience and best practices.
• Cybersecurity awareness for firewalls, ACLs, and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support Cisco enterprise network equipment.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Support Layer 1–3 infrastructure, including VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and spanning tree.
• Support wireless (Cisco/Meraki) and building systems connectivity.
• Assist with firewall configurations, ACLs, segmentation, and VPNs with Cybersecurity coordination.
• Maintain network diagrams, documentation, inventories, and configurations.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects with partners.
• Communicate incidents and maintenance clearly to stakeholders.
