Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Location Manager to lead transportation operations in Johnston, RI.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from startup to daily management, build high-performing teams, manage P&L accountability, and establish best-in-class operations that exceed customer expectations. You will drive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong relationships with school districts and stakeholders while scaling operations and coordinating

Qualifications

• Proven experience with full P&L accountability and operational oversight.
• 5+ years of managing day-to-day operations in time-sensitive environments such as transportation or logistics.
• Experience with scheduling, staffing, planning, and operational execution.
• Experience managing client-facing relationships and customer accounts in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute complete site start-ups for newly awarded contracts, team hiring, facility setup, IT implementation
• Develop training and hiring programs for location that meets or exceeds guidelines
• Develop and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships, exceeding expectations through proactive communication
• Manage assigned contract operations, ensuring consistency and excellence
• Utilize IT infrastructure to monitor KPIs across all areas and ensure safety standards
• Oversee Safety Department compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain records
• Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, and Safety to plan hiring and leadership development
• Coordinate fleet readiness and maintenance with stakeholders
• Manage daily operations including scheduling, staffing, and route execution
• Maintain P&L accountability and financial alignment
• Plan and execute electrification projects for school bus yards within budget and spec
