Job summary

Reading Area Community College seeks a General Maintenance Worker 2 for the 1st shift to keep campus buildings and grounds clean and orderly. You will perform cleaning and related maintenance duties, operating floor care machines and joining a team dedicated to a safe, well-maintained campus.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and about one year of related experience; favorable background check may be required. Hours are Monday through Friday with early start times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and scrub floors, stairs and other surfaces.
• Use light and heavy floor cleaning machines and attachments.
• Clean and service lavatories, rest rooms and windows.
• Move furniture, supplies and equipment as directed.
• Report safety, security and maintenance issues to supervisor.
