Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Indianapolis campus. This role coordinates installation, maintenance, and repair work, supervising a team, performing safety audits, and ensuring timely completion of tasks across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The position requires five+ years in maintenance, two years in supervision, and a strong ability to read blueprints and manage safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least five years of experience in related maintenance work.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Ability to manage a team, regularly inspect sites and perform safety audits, execute work as necessary, maintain equipment and assign workers to projects.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities.
• Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
• Supervise and train workers.
• Oversee all repairs and ensure work is completed on time.
• Maintain inventory, equipment, and proper storage.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and practices on site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance work.
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
