Job summary

Indiana University Campus Facility Services is seeking a Maintenance Worker to assist skilled trades in maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other building systems on campus. The role involves drilling, wiring, basic repairs, and helping with preventive maintenance across 70+ buildings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of craft/building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by IU.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers with troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of building systems.
• Drill holes, thread pipes, and assist with electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and preventive maintenance.
• Support in moving, lifting, and installing materials and equipment.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and order in work areas.
