Job summary

The National Western Center is seeking a Campus Maintenance / Grounds Tech to keep the campus and buildings safe, functional, and well maintained. You will respond to repairs, manage preventive work, and coordinate with partners to ensure smooth operations for events.

Responsibilities include inspecting infrastructure, building maintenance plans, and tracking repair times while keeping careful records. The role is physically demanding and requires excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Physically demanding role; standing, walking, lifting and bending for long periods.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High EQ and interpersonal skills.
• Detail- and results-oriented; entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect and fix building and grounds infrastructure (wayfinding, pavers, fences, gates, etc).
• Build a comprehensive maintenance program with timing for yearly work.
• Identify area use levels and prioritize maintenance accordingly.
• Prepare quick responses for campus damage and obtain event quotes.
• Maintain facilities between shows/events so they look their best.
• Maintain records in MaintianX and manage supplies and par levels.
• Track repair times and downtimes for reporting.
