Job summary

Great Plains Technology Center is seeking a Landscaper/Flowerbed Maintenance Worker to sustain the campus' landscaping, flowerbeds, and grounds. The role includes mowing, weeding, litter removal, and operating basic equipment to keep the campus attractive and safe.

The position is 12-month, non-exempt, with a $15.00 hourly rate and reports to the Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor. Evening or weekend hours may be required to support activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Preferred: job-related experience in a specialized field with increasing responsibility.
• Strong plant knowledge and landscape design skills.
• Maintenance and problem-solving abilities for groundskeeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus landscaping and flowerbeds to meet appearance standards.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance (mowing, waste, weeds, leaves).
• Plant and care for trees, flowers, and other plants.
• Operate hand tools and light machinery and various equipment (tractors, forklifts).
• Keep areas clean and assist with building maintenance as needed.
