Job summary

Building Bridges Across the River in the Washington area is seeking a Campus Grounds & Facilities Tech to maintain and repair facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff, partners, program participants, and visitors.

The role covers routine maintenance, minor repairs, inspections, grounds work, and supporting event setup, with a focus on proactive problem solving and teamwork within the facilities team.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with staff, partners, vendors, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs including changing light bulbs, drywall, painting, and general building upkeep.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and building code violations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment, including trash pickup, ground maintenance, snow removal, stripping and waxing floors.
• Assist with facility setup, event preparation, and breakdown as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, supplies, and equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and service.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
