Albany State University seeks a Distribution Center Assistant to support shipping, receiving, storing, and delivering supplies across campus. You will help ensure timely delivery to academic, administrative, and residence departments, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 1 year in shipping/receiving, forklift certification, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and prior university experience are preferred.

Competenze

High School diploma or GED is required.
1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or inventory management.
1 year of experience using Microsoft Office.
Certified forklift operator.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Mansioni

Receiving & Shipping: Unload incoming freight, verify packing lists against purchase orders, create PO receipts and process vendor returns or outgoing shipments.
Post Office: Assist at East and West Campus post offices, including helping at the counter and sorting mail/packages.
Campus Deliveries: Safely drive campus vehicles to deliver goods and mail to university departments and campus smart lockers.
Facility Maintenance: Keep warehouse and loading dock clean, organized, and safe.
Customer Service: Answer phone inquiries, greet delivery drivers, and assist faculty or staff with order statuses.
