University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Locksmith to perform journey-level locksmithing across campus facilities. The role covers installation, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of locking systems on doors and equipment at UT Austin and related campuses.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of locksmith experience, and a valid Texas Class C driver’s license. Working on a 40-hour week, with occasional overtime and on-call responsibilities.

Formación

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of field experience as a locksmith with strong customer service.
• Valid Class C Texas driver’s license (or obtain within 30 days if not a Texas resident).
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel; effective written and oral communication.

Responsabilidades

• Install, service, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electronic locks.
• Cut and duplicate keys; manage key records and codes; update work orders.
• Communicate status to supervisors, customers and stakeholders via email, phone and in person.
