Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Assistant Principal to assist the principal in administering the instructional program and campus operations. The role reports to the Building Principal and leads in curriculum, instruction, and staff development within the district's schools.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's degree and a Texas Administrator's Certificate, with at least three years of classroom teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Valid Texas Administrator's Certificate.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the instructional program by reviewing teacher lesson plans, observing classroom instruction, conferencing with staff, and analyzing assessment data related to student performance.
• Work with principal and staff to plan, implement, and evaluate the curriculum on a systematic basis.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements in the design and implementation of the instructional program.
• Assist the principal to provide campus level curriculum/instruction staff development in a timely and effective manner.
