Fort Bend ISD seeks an Assistant Principal to support the campus leadership, drive student achievement, and maintain a safe, orderly environment aligned with the district's curricula and mission.

The role emphasizes instructional leadership, curriculum coordination, campus improvement planning, staff development, and effective school-community relations, with required Texas Mid-Management or Principal certification and a master's degree.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification.
• AEL certificate or ILD/ILT or must be obtained within 3 months of start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership.
• Board Approved T-TESS Certification or must be obtained within 3 months of start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership.
• Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience, preferably at the assigned level.
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness.
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership for the campus including analyzing data and developing plans to increase student achievement with the principal.
• Assist with the coordination and implementation of the District approved curriculum in all courses.
• Participate in developing the Campus Improvement Plan and assist with the curriculum-related activities such as program development and evaluation.
• Analyze available data for the development and implementation of campus specific staff development.
• Monitor student behavior, enforce discipline rules, and devise systems to support positive student behavior.
• Coordinate and maintain a system for tracking student attendance and tardiness by enforcing district attendance policies.
