Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking a Landscape Gardener to perform lawn and garden maintenance on the Main Campus in Washington, DC. This full-time role involves mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, irrigation, mulching, and bed reactivation as part of Facilities Management.

The incumbent will work in a central landscape maintenance group under supervision, following seasonal schedules and safety guidelines while supporting a clean, safe, and attractive campus environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalency.
• Requires one to three years of grounds landscape maintenance experience.
• Requires valid driver’s license and ability to operate pickup trucks, tractors, skid steer loaders, ATVs and other specialized grounds equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim and edge lawns and remove weeds.
• Irrigate lawns and planted areas and mulch beds.
• Reactivate flower beds and tree saucers and lay sod.
• Assist in applying pesticides and follow safety rules.
